Terms of Service
Last updated October 16, 2026
These terms govern your use of NoteLogd (formerly NoteBoxd), the app for logging, rating, and reviewing the music you listen to, available on iOS and Android. By creating an account or using NoteLogd, you agree to the terms below.
Your Account
You must be at least 16 years old to use NoteLogd. On iOS, the app uses Sign in with Apple; on Android, it uses Google Sign-In — there’s no email/password login on either platform. Your use of Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In is also subject to Apple’s or Google’s own terms and privacy policy, as applicable. You’re responsible for the activity on your account; let us know right away if you think someone else has access to it.
Your Content
When you post a review, rating, comment, reply, or community list, you keep ownership of it. By posting, you grant NoteLogd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the app so we can operate and improve the service. You're solely responsible for what you post.
Community Guidelines & Objectionable Content
Keep it respectful. Don't post content that's illegal, harassing, hateful, spammy, or that infringes someone else's rights. Don't attempt to manipulate ratings, impersonate another person, or scrape the app without permission. NoteLogd has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior of any kind. Every user can block other accounts and report content or accounts directly within the app; we review reports and act on them, including removing content or suspending or terminating accounts that violate these guidelines.
Notes Virtual Currency
Notes are earned by completing free daily in-app tasks and can be spent on cosmetic profile items such as Vinyls and Artists. Notes have no cash value, can never be bought with real money, and cannot be sold, exchanged, cashed out, refunded, or transferred between accounts. We may adjust how Notes are earned, spent, or valued at any time.
NoteLogd+ & In-App Purchases
On iOS, NoteLogd offers an optional NoteLogd+ subscription (monthly or yearly, auto-renewing, plus a non-renewing lifetime option) and one-off purchases such as individual badges or a banner-upload unlock. NoteLogd+ unlocks unlimited display slots, unlimited collection capacity, full profile customisation, and all badges and banner uploads; one-off purchases unlock that specific item only. All purchases are made through the Apple App Store (In-App Purchase) and are subject to Apple's payment terms. Subscriptions automatically renew at the price and interval shown at purchase until you cancel in your Apple ID account settings — cancelling takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and NoteLogd cannot cancel or refund a purchase on your behalf. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its own policies. Lifetime and one-off purchases never expire; if a subscription lapses, the features it unlocked are hidden (not deleted) and return if you resubscribe. You can restore past purchases from the Shop or Settings. Digital items you buy are licensed to you for use within NoteLogd only, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred or exchanged for Notes or cash. Prices and availability may change, and we'll always show the price before you buy. These purchases are not currently available on Android. NoteLogd does not show ads.
Events & RSVPs
Concert and event listings, including venue, date, and artist details, are submitted by users as free text. NoteLogd does not verify the accuracy of user-submitted event details and does not collect or use your device's location in connection with this feature. NoteLogd is not responsible for the accuracy of event information or for anything that happens at an event.
Music & Third-Party Data
Album art, artist names, and release information shown in NoteLogd are retrieved from the Spotify Web API. NoteLogd is not affiliated with, and does not claim ownership over, any artist, label, or streaming platform referenced in the app.
Intellectual Property
The NoteLogd name, logo, and app design are owned by NoteLogd. Aside from the license you grant us to your own content, nothing in these terms gives you rights to our trademarks, branding, or underlying software.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from within the app, or by submitting a request through our Delete Account page if you don't have app access; either way this permanently deletes your account and its associated content, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe put other users or the service at risk.
App Stores
NoteLogd is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. These terms are between you and NoteLogd only, not Apple or Google, and NoteLogd — not Apple or Google — is responsible for the app and its content. Your download and use of the app is also subject to the terms of the store you got it from (Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions, or the Google Play Terms of Service). Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
NoteLogd is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NoteLogd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as NoteLogd evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
